Short memory? We were fighting terrorism in the early 1980s
bombing Libya. And again off the coast of Lebanon.

Another thing to keep in mind is the Rumsfeld & Cheney
supervised the decommissioning of a lot of the U.S. military
and ratcheting down of intel ops back in the early 1990s...
remember the "peace dividend?"

How lucky for them that Sept 11th gave them a good excuse to
not only throw money into their favorite channels within the
military-industrial complex (which wouldn't be so bad if it
produced actual results), but also to blame Clinton. And
predictably enough, many people swallow it.
