In any place I've hunted, the season was the season, whether on private
property (which most of it was) or not.

Different for fish, I guess. They have a tendency to stay put once you put
them in the pond. Usually.


In Calif, different season length for gamebird farms. Since they raise the
birds and release them to be hunted, it also helps the wild birds. Removes
some pressure, and they have to release more than are shot.
