Default C&C 99 vs 35s5

BTW #2 if you're "brokering" boats in the NYC area then you
should know something about this boat.

Yep, former boat of Sherry Carter's who's husband Glen died last
season. She's finally selling it and will let go for cheap. The engine
was replaced two years ago with a rebuild, but she doesn't know it
because it blew when he was aboard with Sylvia Wilkenson, Sherry's half
sister who was once a Rockette for 2 seasons. I'm not pointing any
fingers, but the engine fried after a grounding and Sherry never new
the engine was swapped. You do the math.
The boat is generally solid, though there are a lot of stress cracks in
the cockpit-common for that model. There are also some cracks at the
step due to an overtuned rig, but that happened before Glen had it as
he was a rigger for Shore Inc. before they went under. The interior is
nice, bad bad coffee stain on the starboard settee. Someone etched
their name into the aft-starboard port, which is plastic. Glen tried to
get rid of it with a red-hot butter knife blade and made a mess of it.
It needs to be replaced as it leaks anyway.
I refused the boat for brokerage because Glen got drunk aboard Ghost 5
years ago and got fresh with one of the girls half his age. I felt it
would be wrong to make money on it after that distasteful event and
Sherry is rich from her Home Depot shares anyway.
Hope this helps.
