Saw this vehicle in a tannish metallic in a Richmond, VA car show a few
weeks ago. Ugly as sin. Looked like an Edsel SUV.

This is the one instance where I would prefer to see more chrome up front.

I thought it was impossible for a fish and a vacuum cleaner to have sex.
This unholy offspring seems to have proven me wrong.

I'm a BIG Subie fan - on my fifth after years with BMW's before they were a
LUXURY car maker.

I had hoped that the Tribeca would look good in black because it sure is
UGLY in the metallic sand.

But the black at least in this shot makes those Aztek headlights even
FUGLIER.

I'm sure she drives great. Too bad about the face!

I agree the sand color is terrible, and the black softens the vehicles
lines, making it look bulbous. I think the other color options look good...
silver, atlantic blue pearl, mahogany red and seacrest green.

Car is ugly. Why are they pushing this thing? The Tribeca is Aztrec ugly.
They need to try harder on this one. I love Subaru but this is a mistake.

(lol) - I love that, "Aztec Ugly". Spot-on!
I'm a long time Suub owner/driver - the Wagon With All the Bumper Stickers
kind, so you know which way my alignment pulls.

The new Subaru 'Tri-bomination' is out, just in time for $2.50/gal gas.
That's one (more)small step toward the SUV herd, one giant step backward for
innovation and customer loyalty.

What a rip, as well. It looks just like every other mid-size POS SUV. Betcha
for '07 they go for some real brilliant new thinkin' and add a sliding door
to the right passenger side. sheeesh... Who do they think they're fooling?
If Subaru really wanted to expand market share, they should have looked
toward the hybrids. If they could engineer the equivalent of a Toyota Prius
(think awd hybrid forester) the game would be over!

Scoobaru! Where are YOU?!?

the subaru tribeca is butt ugly. Subaru makes a reliable quality
automobile... but who would want to be seen riding in this horid looking
thing?

several months ago as a loyal subie owner, subaru sent me an e-mail to visit
their site to see and comment on the new tribeca. i had already seen spy
shots of it, but still looked at their promo. now i will never be in the
market for a suv, so have no personal interest in this thing. "aztec" was
the first thing that came to mind and i told subaru so. they suggested that
i probably needed to see it in person. frankly, if a photo is not
flattering, then it must be bad. well, last week i had to visit the dealer
parts department so decided to check the tribeca out in person. this is
definitely not a case of something looking better in person. i think all the
aztec owners should love this thing. the subaru used car lots will be full
of aztecs.

when i first saw the aztec, sorry tribeca promos, i thought that the
interior did look pretty good. now that i have seen one, i am not so sure.
the front dash is way over the top; too curvy and sculpted for my taste. i
begin to get sea sick just looking at it. i am not sure that the cockpit
would be the most comfortable place to be when zooming down any choppy
unpaved road or trail in the desert. the tribeca is clearly only meant for
civilization and for getting you from one starbucks to the next. in fact the
tribeca will only appeal to those looking for the flavor of the day; maybe
of the year. it will have no staying power in this guise.

p.s. have you seen the restyled wrx? these guys are acting like the general
of old; just changing things to change them and rarely for the good.
