PVC - Cheaper to make, good in cold, low sunlight conditions. Not good
for constant exposure to elements. Good for weekend fishing &
cruising.

Hypalon - Expensive to make, good in hot, high sunlight conditions.
Good for constant exposure to elements. Good for yacht tenders/dinghys
which are left inflated on deck or towed aft.
