Default Does Boat Color Matter For Fishing

"Ivan Watkins" wrote in message .com...
Hi,
I am having a boat shipped to me and at first the color I had chosen
was an aluminum color (light grey). However, when I saw the off white model
of the boat I thought.. man. that is a beautiful boat. My boat will mainly
be used to take me and my boys fishing. I've noticed that some boats have
dark hulls and some have white. For fishing, in all honesty does it matter
what color the bottom of your boat is?

For fishing, I don't think the color makes a differance.

But, you should definately go with white or some light color. The
problem with dark colored hulls is that, over time, the sun will
bleach out the color, and then the boat just looks old. You can only
buff it out so much. Ask all the guys that bought the dark blue 31
Rampages years ago, their all painted by now. You have to get use to
your boat looking bad, or you paint the hull, not cheap or easy. If
left as is, be prepared to take a good hit on the price when it comes
time to sell the boat.
