During what we call trophy season, the spring, it is 24 inches and then it
switches to 18 inches for the rest of the season. In the cooler you are
allowed 2 per fisherman and one for the boat.
I'm talking Maryland, you must be talking Virginia. In Maryland, the trophy
season limit is one over 28" per person, with no extras for the boat.
