I had no idea I was in one of his books. Are you sure it's me? I haven't
lived in the southeast for 5 years since moving to the northwest and never
gave him a picture or had one taken of me that I'm aware of unless it's one
from one of the rodeo's. What's the name of the book so I can take a look?
Do you know if it's on the shelves yet at the stores?

[1] for those who don't know, Leland Davis is a prominent Asheville
hairboater who teaches creeking clinics up and down the Appalachians.
His book, which leans strongly to the Class IV/V end of the spectrum
but identifies a few IIs and IIIs, is "North Carolina Rivers & Creeks",
from Brushy Mountain Publications.
