Walleye is fun to catch and delicious.....yellow perch is even better in
both categories.

Jim, one of the guys from Ohio makes a dish that is very good, wonder
if you've ever heard of it: He fries some cabbage in butter with onion,
gets it kind of browned and carmelized, and adds this to cooked
noodles. It is MUCH better than you'd think. I want to learn how to do
that.

Sounds yummy.

We dip the fish in flour, then and egg/milk mixture, then seasoned bread
crumbs, then fry them in oil.

We have always tried to duplicate the perch recipe from the Village Pump
http://www.villagepump.com/ on Kelleys Island....we finally got the
recipe when we jumped over there on my friends boat a couple of weeks
ago.....no egg, milk or flour....just a dip in some specialty breading and
frying them in oil.

BTW: If you ever get a chance to get up to the Islands for a fishing trip,
make it a point to head over to the Village Pump. Nothing beats their perch
basket washed down with brandy alexanders. We are vacationing on the island
in a lake front house for the week this summer. My friend's family is
coming with us , along with his newly restored 26 foot Lyman. We are
supplying the house and he is supplying the boat. I can't wait. ;-)
