Well, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I want to tell you that
the future is indeed now and not only that, it is called E-TEC.

Sea trialed the new Contender today - whoa momma this is a sweet ride.

Fast, unbelievable acceleration, hardly knew the engines were running
even at WOT, smooth running and very, very cool looking. Extrapolating
the fuel flow (based on only 90 minutes run time), it would appear
that the engines are going to be very efficient, that is a time thing
- I'll let you know.

Pictures by the end of the weekend.

& so the new Ficht spam season starts; again:-). I suppose an anti ad
is in order????

This poor soul has burnt his bridges with Merc & can't ever go there
again, he then got caught big time with defective Fichts (of 3 one
failed & he still thinks that's OK, can you imagine what he must accuse
Merc of????:-)) & has now been talked into believing the totally
unbelievable;

(a) They're giving "him" a great deal because "he's" a "special" bloke,
really sad that anyone ever believes that but all the more so when it's
one of the NG's own.

(b) The name change has fixed Ficht, it hasn't & can't because just like
rocket science you can't run burns in a closed chamber safely unless the
atomisation, ignition & mixture are correct, end of story, chiseled in
stone long ago.

(c) "He" sees "himself" as a special user that's of value to the
marketing campaign of the latest Ficht consumer funded experiment called
E-Tec, so just like Gould thinks posting "his" spam is somehow different
or even acceptable.

(d) Actually thinks a quiet idle is a good thing!!!:-) when it's just a
symptom of a poorly atomised very lean mixture, a very retarded spark
timing that has to continuously fire to even ignite such lean mixtures,
at low to medium revs. Were we to explain to him that the same idiots
that gave him Ficht are getting him to spam the exact same marketing
lines they used in 98 to deceptively market Ficht it would do no good
becasue he's a believer with an un earned benefit to protect.
Essentially these engines are docile & quiet at idle because there isn't
enough ignitable fuel in the mixture & the spark timing is so late they
can't even generate the minimal noise & vibration all IC engine make at
idle. Of course once you put them under load up at medium revs with lean
mixture, poor low pressure atomisation & continuous spark firing; that
"symptom" quickly turns to excess piston heat buildup then "sometimes"
uncontrolled & uncontrollable detonation as further power is applied.

Stronger higher melting point pistons, special high temp oils, might
delay & maybe even get some more engines to hold together long enough to
get into normal mixture single fire mode but in the end lean mixtures at
power are just not viable; ask any of the "proper" engine makers.

Pay no attention to the E-Tec BS no matter who spruiks it:-) don't
under any circumstances buy one with "your own" money but sit back at
least 2 seasons & watch what happens this time.

Save this post & my others because just like Ficht I want it clear you
heard it here first, E-Tec will fail just as Ficht did, maybe not as
often but often enough that you will be glad you didn't buy one.

I wonder what the French will change the name to next time????

Ficht, Optimax & E-Tec are all dead (E-Tec still born:-)), you
can't run engines at power when lean, a well known & understood fact
since the 30s, it's just basic rocket science, the very same problem. I
accept you don't believe me but do you believe nasa???

Add into all three very poor atomisation from not enough injection
pressure & it's worse.

Then with Ficht & E-Tec add inaccurate loony tunes continuous spark
ignition when in lean mode & it's hopeless.

Then with Ficht & E-Tec add the most dangerous oiling system since
VRO & consumer usage failures are assured.

If the lean mixtures at power don't get 'em, the poor fuel
atomisation, inaccurate spark timing or lack of proper lubrication will

& Krause's lie of the day is:

Other than what he's picked up here over the years this liar
clearly doesn't & never has owned a boat & certainly never done any real
boating, yet he insults all the NG real boaters with lies like this;

Have you ever sailed from San Francisco to Hawaii? I have.
Have you ever rounded Cape Horn? I have, twice.
Have you ever transited the Panama Canal? I have.
Have you owned more than 20 boats in your lifetime? I have.
Have you ever sailed large boats competitively? I have.
Have you ever been hundreds of miles from land in a powerboat under

your command? I have.
