Doug,

You ask a very good question. I carry a 150% on the furler and have no
trouble making 45 degrees. When the wind picks up I will feather into
it, to reduce heel and I get well inside 45' but I'm slower in both
cases. Since I never race this way I can't tell you how much slower I
am. Just knocking about, I really don't care.

She is a good weather craft. I do give the Keel the credit for that.

In light air ( 4 and lower) she gets very heavy in the head and she
needs the main.

I've never tried to "cut a Card" for the difference. If I'm sailing that
way I'm not looking for speed and as long as I've got control (ability
to tack) couldn't care less.
