Hi, I am considering getting the HW6500 when it comes out (trying not
to think about the price tag) but wanted to know about GPS software
for the Mobile Windows platform. I see some stuff that offers maps
for places within the US but I have to travel a lot internationally
all the time so maps of the US are of limited use. Does anyone know
of GPS software that has maps of "the world" (Mostly topographical and
cities in Europe, Asia, and everywhere in between). Any help,
suggestions, commentary would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know how comprehensive their map collection is, but I've been using
Maptech Pocket Navigator for the last couple of years and it's great. We're
running it on a Compaq iPaq with a Navman GPS. I like this whole setup much
better than the stuff I was using before -- regular Maptech or Nobletec on a
laptop, etc. However you still need a laptop in addition to the iPaq, and it's
advisable to have it onboard.

One thing I'd really like to try is Pocket Navigator, etc. on a tablet PC. New
stuff is coming out all the time, but as far as I'm concerned the PDA stuff is
the way to go.
