IMHO, what you have is two different boats of the same era of similar
style.

The stern is similar to the one depicted in
http://www.danderby.com/fantail_window.jpg, except that the rear is
square, as seen in
http://klightspeed.customer.netspace.net.au/nellie/peddells-greenslopes.jpg
In 1991, she was in poor shape, and so the stern was lower. Also note that
the more weight she has in the front, the higher the stern. We had a fair
amount of stuff under the cockpit in 2000, and the fore tank may have been
approaching empty when the photo was taken.
Also, a fair amount of work was done to the hull in 1994.
