The Nikon D70 is a great camera. The Canon Digital Rebel is also another
great camera. You cannot go wrong with either one.

That may be a plan. I checked my Consumer Reports magazine and the Sony
is
about mid list. Some of the Olympus models rate higher and an HP is
listed
as 'best buy' in it's catagory. The SLR type digital cameras in the
higher
megapixel range are too expensive still.
