Nice looking boat.
Thank you. I hope she's as attractive in person as she in on the
Internet, but for the price I could live with a wrinkle or two.
Now that you actually have one, let's hope you'll be spending your time
maintaining and sailing it rather than wasting your time on usenet.
I foresee sunburn in my future.
Went through my West Marine catalog some last night.* I could easily
spend more on accessories than I did on the boat.
I can't see where it has a VHF radio, and while you can get through
the locks without one, having one is a whole lot easier. I don't have
much use for a GPS receiver, as I find it hard to believe that I could
become sufficiently lost on a river as to need one. A hand bearing
compass might be good, though.
It's generally very windy here, so a storm jib might find its way into
the sail locker, and a dodger sounds like an attractive addition.
I used to post here a lot. Once I bought my boat, I kinda wandered
away. IOW, now that you're in the club, you probably won't be around
much to "enjoy" it.
A few months ago I was reading fairly regularly, but the incessant
flamefest became tiring. We'll see.
*Use the catalog to identify the products, and the Internet to get a
better price. Which shouldn't be all that hard, I mean sheesh. I
don't mind if they smoke dope, I do mind that they don't share.
