Default Mooring

No.. that's not a big issue. If it happens you can still find the chain by
the floating line remaining. Our tides are 7 feet.
In ice... long lines and buoys get dragged and ripped. Short lines and small
blocks of wood.

Plus I can always dive it for Tomek next spring for a bottle of air and a
bottle of rum. ;-)

| Don't you worry about a motor boat running over it?

| If it does get torn off.... you still have 20 feet of floating line
| [yellow/
| 1/2"] to snag. That won't rip off. It would be a rare occasion to remove
| the
| 2x4.... but I've seen it happen with 7 feet of ice and -45 temp all
| winter.

foot

| | Run the rope through the 2x4 and tie it off... put the other end on
| the

tide

| | Works every time....

| | |
| | | Or I might get a smaller ball so it is below the ice...
| | |
| | | Any radical/new ways of doing this?
