Experience here shows that if you can, leave the marina and go up a nice
muddy river and anchor well.
No **** Sherlock! I've never been in a slip during a hurricane before.
This is extremely disturbing.
If your anchors drag you just end up
aground in a nice safe mud berth.
The Chesapeake is renowned for good holding. Eh Timmy?
If you have doubt as to the quality of
the marina pilings and construction leave -lest your boat be hit by
those breaking free.
Actually, some of these pilings went through Agnes....I kinda like how they
flex. Big fatties... If the Swan, next to me, leaves I can run some long
lines across a couple slips:^)
Seahag
Just a thought -but please don't worry unduly. She
just represents several years of hard work so remember to insure her to
account for the 'improvments' you've made!!!!
