hmmm ok, thanks. I did do the search and that's how I came up with the GRI
of 9940 for this area. It appears to have an automatic set up mode, but
doesn't seem to be doing it.

Perhaps you're right in that there is a problem with the antenna or
something.
On that chart, under the 9940 GRI, it lists secondaries. But the unit
appears to be seeking a 2 digit number for S1 and S2 (secondaries) and I'm
not sure what 2 digit number it's looking for there. Any suggestions?

As far as I am able to tell, I'm not getting any kind of a signal

the lat/lon and TD settings all just blink and nothing seems to 'lock
on'.
I'm used to GPS on the boat, so using Loran is all new to me.

answer some questions, that would be great as well.
