Tartan vs. Sabre
The original question concerned a 3800, which is a different design, but similar size.
It has a balsa cored deck, and hull above the water line.

I guess it comes down to lines and design. Both have good names... both are useless fin keelers with foam cored decks.... both look really cool on their brochures. Here's the sailcalc read out... I like the Sabre's capsize ratio, motion comfort and heavier class in the LWL/Displacement Ratio.
I like both the vessels so it's a hard choice.... I just liked the Sabre a bit better. Heh... you asked.
