Yep...
Used $12.00 USD:

New $20.95 USD (very good to fine condition)

An excellent book, and one well worth owning.
When my son started racing I filled his bookshelves with many sailing
books, but the one that he always goes back to for
reference/tactics/tips (and he is still racing CFJ's, V15's, 29ers) are
the Speed & Smarts. Several years ago for Christmas I ordered every
back issue available along with a current subscription, and put them in
binders so that they are in a single location for reading.
The other book that he highly recommends is:
Winning in one-designs
By: Dave Perry
Publisher: New York : Dodd, Mead, ©1984.
ISBN: 0396081916 : 0396082009
$24.95 USD

Also same price from US Sailing
And another not yet recommended:
High Performance Sailing
by Frank Bethwaite (Paperback - 1996)

Note to OP/Don: check with your local library before shelling out too
much on any recommended books -- the library may have them, or be able
to order them, and provide you with the opportunity to review & read
them before buying.

I can't seem to find a good book on small sailboat racing. I've checked
amazon and WestMarine, and came up empty. I'm interested in a text on
the
practical aspects and fine points of racing sailboats less than 18 feet
in
length. Handling, strategy, etc. Name and/or author would be great.
Thanks.
I highly recommend that you subscribe to the Speed & Smarts bi-monthly
newsletter:
http://www.speedandsmarts.com/
You can order back issues (again highly recommended) by issue/title.
You'll find more useful small sailboat racing information in the current
& back issues of this newsletter than you'll find in most any small
sailboat racing book.
