25917 22 Feet 1949 Chris Craft Sportsman 22-U $26,000 This is a very popular boat which originally was delivered to a client in Minnesota. This is a very nice user boat. No wood to be repaired, boat runs strong. Guages are original and are all in good working order. This boat is ready to go and needs nothing except to simply go out and be enjoyed. 11/1/2004 25916 22 Feet 1947 Chris Craft Sportsman 22-U $30,000 This boat has always been used in fresh water and properly stored under cover. This second owner boat has had the boat completely refinished with new guages, new wiring, new cushions, new 2 part bimini top, new cupboards behind the seat, new Chris Craft floor covering , stripped and refinished inside and out. New paint on cedar sides, 3 planks replaced on the bottom. This boat needs NO work of any type and is in excellent condition. All hardware and fixtures are original and are in very good condition. This is the Doug Peterson Internatonal Off Shore rule, one tonner that followed the success of "Gambare". Built in aluminum with a wood deck and cabin structure, she is capable of a restoration that would put her sailing again. The wood components all need replacing as they are deteriorated beyond saving but they are there for patterns if needed. You get a sound aluminum hull, lead keel (attached), engine (still installed), and an un-rigged aluminum mast. A fiberglass sister-ship has won the Chicago Mac at least once (possibly twice) recently as a Performance Handicao Racing Fleet racer. We are offering the boat FREE if our shop is contracted to do the restoration. Otherwise, she is for sale at $3200 firm. The boat is located in Vermilion, Ohio. This U-22-1603 was in the same famil all of it's life up until one year ago. Interior is in good condition with only a small area of the nautilux flooring needing repair. Engine runs strong and the boat overall needs only a cleaning. This is a good user condition boat that is very desireable in today's market. Totally restored by John R. Millar (Millar-Potter Boat Restoration, Manotick, Ontario. Very limited use since restoration, recent varnish, needs nothing. With Shorelandr trailor (purchased new Sept., 2000) Reference: "Classic Boats on the Rideau Canal" page 138. 10/22/2004 25905 27 Feet 1955 Shepherd Runabout $125,000 This particular Shepherd has an interesting ownership history that explains some of its unique features. The second owner of the boat in the 1960's was the president of General Motors of Canada, and the 2 next subsequent owners in the 1970's - 1990's were also former senior GM executives. In the mid 1960's the boat underwent a major re-fitting with all new top-line GM mechanics, electronics and comfort features including twin small block, high performance Corvette engines (327 cu.in./ 300 hp.), Cadillac upholstery, etc. The boat has been maintained immaculately ever since, and was totally stripped and refinished (11 coats of varnish) last winter. The windsheild frame and decks need paint / varnish. The floor boards should be replaced, but they will suffice for now. This is a very open boat with plenty of deck space. White sides with decks and bottom is glassed. A great boat with terrific history. 10/21/2004 25899 29 Feet 1928 Garwood Torpedo Double Cockpit $450,000 Built by Garwood for a Mr. Bartow and originally delivered to Lake of the Ozarks. Boat has been 99% restored and will be ready for any boat show by spring 2005. This is a very unique boat and very rare. This boat looks very similar to "Chloe" and has lines that remind you a Hacker design or Dee Wite. Boat has a double step bottom and has reported to run at speeds up to 70 MPH. |
