Default inland waterways Boat Safety Scheme - consultation

The Boat Safety Scheme has an consultation open on the modernisation
of the BSS requirements that apply to privately owned vessels.

The consultation document is 90 pages long and can be downloaded from
http://www.boatsafetyscheme.com/site...tation_208.asp There is
also a short-form document, summary and FAQs, that can be downloaded
if you feel you need to decide before downloading the larger document.

The consultation has been sent out to all the major boating
organisations inc, owners groups, marine trade and examiner bodies as
well as a number of other groups, associations and formal consultees.

You are welcome to reply as individuals or ask your representative
organisation(s) to make your views known. The closing date for the
consultation is 30th September 2004.
