anyone see the London boat show?

they talked about Jet sprinting, apart fm doin the obvious searches on
google etc, anyone know any UK places that currently have this, or are into
it?

There was a weekend of it at Southport not so long ago - the guys from
AU and NZ came over here. AFAIK, there isn't any home grown stuff over
here but the RYA are very interested in setting it up.

The RYA are interested in setting it up !! More than likely they want it
legislated (against it) so they can control it.

I'd say it's because powerboat racing has taken such a nose dive and I
guess the powerboat racing section of the RYA are just looking for
something else to keep them afloat!

There was a short clip on TV recently, looked totally mad, 15 foot boats
with 800 hp engines haring around a 400 metre circuit at speeds of up to
100mph.
