Default Evinrude problems

Hi
Evinrude 40 hp, longshaft twin about 1990. Elec start, gas assist lift. All
apparently in very good nick, ex RNLI motor.
Engine runs fine for a minute or two, then loses power, but still runs.
On pushing the choke button it picks up for a few seconds, but not on full
power.
When this first happened, switching off and restarting seemd to clear the
prob, but not now.
On one occasion the alarm went on the control box, but went off when motor
was switched off then restarted.
My thoughts: fuel or electrics.
Any ideas?
TIA
Chris

Default Evinrude problems

could be a fuel blockage, clean it thru, by bleeding the system and use a
flushing agent
