Anyone have any experience of Beneteaus or have a view on their build
quality / longevity?

I was waiting to see if there were any other adverse comments, and from
a surveyor, he might be able to answer my question or two. Have they
finally solved the Gel Coat problem? Was this as they said a 'Bad
Batch'? As this was back in the late 70's early 80's, is this still a
concern, especially for any boat of that era offered for sale?

Background.
They had a bad batch of boats and these had to have the gel coat ground
off :-(( and another re applied. I saw this being bone at Shepherds
Wharf Boatyard at Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
