BOXING DAY ROLL - Gt Ouse Bedford
If anyone's still here ...........
There is a 'traditional' (well its a sort of local tradition for the past 15 years or so) roll on the river Great Ouse about a third of a mile downstream from town bridge (at Duckmill Sluices) on Boxing day. I *think* the official time is 11am ~ For the insecure be there at 10.30 to be sure? As at afternoon Christmas day one sluice is open and water's lapping over the top of the other so it'll probably stay open tomorrow. This has been a pubic service announcement. Nidge PS: Bah Humbug to all our readers ;-) |
