Myron: Last I heard, you were in the Congo and experiencing the kind of adventures that one could expect of equitorial Africa. How are things? Are you putting your resume out to schools in other parts of the world? Have you managed to remain unscathed? Whats next? Hey Michael Dooley: Funny to spot your post as I was surfing rbp for the first time in months! Things are going fine at the moment. I posted some trip reports from Congo (go to Deja and search for the "Life in Congo" series, parts 1-4, for an interesting read). Probably gonna hunt for another school at the end of this year, as getting robbed by soldiers with AK47s and being trapped in a city with no canoeing, camping, fishing or travelling is getting old. And so am I, it feels! I'm in Germany, on my way back to Kinshasa from a week of flyfishing in northern Sweden, had a great time. Caught about 100 trout and greyling on a fly, got a nice tan. :-) --riverman |
