!!!CALLING ALL SWIMMERS AND KAYAKERS!!!
!!!COME DOWN TO THE HUDSON RIVER!!!

The Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club(YPRC) will host the 3rd Annual
Mayor's Cup Hudson River Swim and Kayak Race starting at
11am, August 24th,
2003.

Proceeds will benefit the Yonkers YMCA Children's Kayaking Program,
the
Greyston Foundation and the Clearwater Foundation.

There will be 2 swimming distances: a 2.8 mile swim from the Palisades
BoatClub to the YPRC dock and a 1.3 mile swim from the JFK Marina to
the
YPRC dock. Swimmers must register and pledge a minimum of $200 for
the
event.
Each swimmer will be escorted by a kayaker.

A short (1 mile) and long course( 2 mile) kayacking race for men and
women will follow the swim. Trophies will be awarded by Mayor Spencer
to the
top 3 finishers in each group. Kayakers must pledge $75 to enter.

All participants will receive a Tshirt and a commemorative medal.
Food and beverages will be served after the race at the YPRC
boathouse.
