The R Tucker Thompson, a 21 year old gaff rigged, square tops'l
schooner has been gifted by her builder and owner as a sail training
ship. She is to be renamed Spirit of Northland. The ship was designed
by Californian R Tucker Thompson along the traditions of a North
American halibut schooner and was built in New Zealand.
