Default A true story 1

A true story

Once I was a guinea pig for a course in navigation safety.

One day I was sailing downstream on the river Scheldt, when I heard my
brother (a river pilot at the time) over the radio, when I contacted him on
the VHF, he asked me not to take a shortcut thru the sandbanks, but instead
change my course to the middle of the traffic channel and sail in frond of
his bow. Something not done if you have al your senses. The two of us took
pictures of the event, and they still are used in a safety course on the
Maritime school in Antwerp.
