by car, by sailing and by skating.

Sloten is indeed very beautifull.. I usually visit Sloten by boat. When I
was younger I always wondered what my parents liked about Sloten. Now that
I'm older I do appreciate the histroical qualities of the town (probably
the smallest place with city-rights (stadsrechten) in Holland. Anyway I can
recommend a dinner in 'de Zeven Wouden'. (http://www.dezevenwouden.com/)

During the summer you vcan eat outside with a nice view of the historical
canal.
