Caught the JWB on her return trip from Portland , Maine . These are follow up to the shots Mark posted last week .
There was a small crowd watching the ship pass . The daughter of one of the ship`s crew was telling me that the trip so far had gone very well with no major problems in transit . The JWB sails from her home port of Baltimore , Md. (USA) several times per year , out into the Chesapeake Bay . You can get tickets , but they are not cheap . However , it is for a good cause . I believe this is one of the very few former WW II Liberty Ships still sailing . Websites - http://www.liberty-ship.com/ Nice list - http://www.usmm.org/libertyships.html |
