Ruth Pat westbound in Cape Cod Canal.

Is that some kind of fancy crows-nest up there? I have seen open
platforms with some safety bars around them on a few of these bigger boats.

She still sails and I've found more recent pictures where it's a bit
clearer that it is a crows' nest. This is the only one like that which
I have ever seen.

I also found that the correct name is "Ruth and Pat".
