Default MV - HENRIETTA III 4-16.jpg

This Riverboat has tied up to one of our docks since last weekend .
Local residents hope it will start operating out of here , but I dout
that is going to happen .

A search came up with this item --

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The Henrietta III has been sold and will be departing downtown
Wilmington no later than March 1, Cape Fear Riverboats announced
Wednesday.

The boat has been sold to Pleasure Boat Cruises in Fort Myers, FL.

Captain Carl Marshburn said in a press release that he plans to
replace the Henrietta with a smaller riverboat for private charters,
sightseeing and nature cruises.

“My goal has always been to create a quality attraction for Wilmington
and that our citizens would adopt the Henrietta as their boat,"
Marshburn said. "And I’m proud to say that we did. And now, we look
forward to bringing a new vessel to the Cape Fear River."

The Henrietta took her last cruise on the Cape Fear River on New
Year's Eve.

Marshburn first brought the Henrietta II to the Wilmington riverfront
in 1988 before she was replaced with a larger boat, the Henrietta III,
in 2000.

Cape Fear Riverboats' other two boats, the Captain J.N. Maffitt and
John Knox, will continue to operate from their Water Street dock.

A nice looking boat, I can understand why the locals want her to stay where
she is.
Thanks for posting,
