Default Dredge - - MCFARLAND 4-14.jpg

Happy Easter to those who celebrate the day .

One never knows when the next interesting vessel will come through
this area . Yesterday the Army Corps of Engineers Hopper Dredge
MCFARLAND
pasted by east bound on its way back to its home port of Philadelphia
,after some sprucing up over the winter in Virginia . The dredge is
used on the Delaware River to clean up hot spots or high spots of
muck in the shipping channel .

She was built in 1966 but has gone through several upgrades .

Canon 60D , Canon 70-200 F4L

Canon 40D , Canon 28-135 F4-5.6 on last two images .
