These two vessels came through my town yesterday , both as a result of the impending storm that has now hit the east
coast of the US . The research vessel Sharp is usually stationed in Lewes , DE, but due to potential flooding and high winds has been moved and docked just east of this photo location here in town . The Tall Ship , Kalmar Nyckel , was returning from a visit cut short in Chestertown , MD where they canceled " DOWN RIGGING " festivities . Tall ships gather each year at this time . The storm has also sent the Cape May - Lewes ferrys up river to Camden , NJ for save keeping .Would love to catch and/or see some pics of them returning down river after the storm passes . Its now Sunday afternoon and I can't wait for the power to go out !!!! probably for days . Lee |
