Default NL: Dutch article about the Tres Hombres

Hello all,

a scan of an article about the 'Tres Hombres' a Dutch engineless freighter
which tries to set an example in durable transport (From A to B, without
CO2) (Translated in Dutch it rhimes..).

Check out their website for more info: http://www.svtreshombres.com/
Be sure to check out the pictures (Picassa) and especially the ones when
sailing in force 9 winds form Amsterdam to Harlingen.

Regards,

Jeroen

In the beginperiod of steamships they used sails as wel as the steamengine.
I think this great idea wil remain a boysdream.
It's a nice ship however.

Although it might still sound like a boys dream, the plans are quite
serious and looking promising.

Check: http://www.cleanairatsea.com/2010/07...argo-shipment-
by-sail-tres-hombres-packet-company/ for more info.

Maybe in 100 years we will have to create a sub-group for modern
tallships...

Jeroen

I don't think we will support that subgroup anymore;-)
But the idea using windenergy again is good and is there already for years
in theory.
