Default S.S. Belgic by Laurence Dunn S_edge

She was launched at Belfast on the last day of 1914. In a very basic
condition.
In March 1922 she was sent back to Belfast to be completed.
She emerged as the British-flag 27,132-ton Belgenland.
She was transfered to the American flag and owned by the Atlantic Transport
Company of West Virginia in 1935. Her name was changed to the Columbia.
Her final voyage ended on the 4th of May 1936, with her arrival at Bo'ness
on the Firth of Forth Scotland, where she was beached at P. & W.
Maclellan's breaking-up berth.
Not sunk ..... but suffered a cruel fate!
