The offical UIM world records list a class for
"Unlimited with immersed propellor class" Lists an Outboard Class details are R Wartinger USA set 1989 Karelson Hull Evinrude Engine at 176.55 mph ( 284.14 kph) Other outboard class records are Formula 1 - 2.5 Litre 145.90 mph Formula 1 - 3 Litre 131.54 mph Formula 1 - 2 Litre 139.54 mph There is a record listed but now not recognised for Formula 1 - 2 Litre of 165.34 mph. This could be because the rules changed or something simmilar. ZINAGON wrote: Who holds the water speed record for an outboard engine...this one guy in Galvenston Texas told me he holds it at 221 |
