Dayton Record Runs Assoc. is pleased to announce the establishment of
the Harry O'Brien Memorial High Point Award which will be inagurated at this year's Great American Outboard Race in Dayton, Ohio. The award will go to the driver garnering the most points during racing at this years' event. The late Mr. O'Brien was master engine-builder and supporter of outboard racing during his life time. In his later years, Mr. O'Brien and his wife, Ruby, were solely responsible for publishing the Propwash, which is the official news publication of the Indiana Outboard Association. His son, Mike O'Brien, was a many-time national champion and record-holder in the large runabout classes in the Modified Category. Dayton Record Runs is please to initiate this award in Mr. O'Brien's memory. 14-H. |
