FS: 1988 Topaz 37' Sportfisherman in N. Florida
Built of solid fiberglass on a modified V hull with a relatively wide beam
and low freeboard aft, increased bow flare and spacious interior. With a reputation for a solid ride and good handling characteristics. Great visibility from the open helm which has ample room for flush mounting any electronics not fitted into an overhead lockable cabinet. The expansive cockpit is 81 square feet. Above the berth is a 20" X 20" hatch. There are four steps down from the bridgedeck to access the interior space. Immediately to port is the "L" shaped galley followed by the spacious 5'3" by 44" wide enclosed head with separate shower stall. Across from the galley and head is the "U" shaped Dinette with table that tapers from 25" to 30" and is 28" across. Headroom in the cabin is 6'6". The large head compartment has an electric M.S.D., a separate stall shower with curtain, mirror, molded in sink and vanity storage. Bridgedeck & Cockpit The cockpit is a bi-level arrangement with the engines located forward, beneath the raised bridgedeck. There is also a hatch between the Helm Station and the Cockpit Table that gives direct access to the engine compartment via a three step metal ladder. Helm is to port with a single Captains seat. Aft of the Captains seat is an enclosed live baitwell measuring 34"X29"X28". Opposite is a 41"X20" cockpit table flanked by two bench seats. Behind the cockpit table arrangement are two enclosed tackle compartments. One step down into the cockpit. Aft is a 4'10"X20"X15" deep fish box, plus there are two mid cockpit hatches that offer some storage and direct access to the dripless shaft seals and various seacocks. Between these hatches is the Generator space. Forward and under the starboard gunnel are two dockside electical inlets. Forward and under the port gunnel is the freshwater intake plus the freshwater and rawwater washdown systems. On the port ans starboard side of the transom are Downrigger bases. There is also an under transom fish access door with a 50" by 27" Teak platform outside the transom door. Galley Over the "L" shaped galley space is a teak bottle rack and three ample storage compartments. Additional storage is under the counter. a..
