We are selling our 38' soft chine aluminum sloop.

The boat was built in 1972 at Minnefords yard in City Island, NY. In 1973 Ted
Turner bought it. The story is, if you can't beat it, buy it! We have a cover
of 1973 Yacht Racing, with Ted at the helm of Lightnin' in some nice wind.
Anyhow, after Ted had it, 2 people owned it before my wife and her x-husband
bought it in 1979. They raced it in the Long Beach and Newport Beach areas for
8 years. Then they had a custom spruce interior put in the boat, and other work
for cruising, and sailed to Hawaii, then back to Portland, Oregon, where she
has been for the last 12 years
