Didn't Garmin first start marketing the 45 back in 1998 or 1997? BRBR
Garmin has added some bells and whistles to its line of model 72's and 76's, which are basically outgrowths of the model 45 and 48. The real question in GPS selection, IMHO, is does the unit do what you need it to do, how easy is it to use underway, can it stand up to the marine environment, and is it affordable? The model 45 gets a thumbs up in all these categories. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rec.boats.marketplace is a moderated newsgroup.
