Nope. The announcements today by the new president of Russia were
purposely delayed by a week to coincide with the election and the potential
of an Obama victory. They also have demanded a one on one with Obama
within the next few weeks .... well before he assumes office. It's a test

Hey. We are playing by *your* rules here.
Bush doesn't count anymore. Just like Clinton didn't count when it came to
9/11 according to you.
Your established position is that 9/11 happened on Bush's watch, so it's his
fault.

Clean slate on Jan 20th (and before if the Russians get too pushy).
Your rules say whatever happens will be on *his* watch. He's had two years

As opposed to what? A tired-out old Vietnam warrior who is a decade

When we climbed the stacks to put on/take off stack covers we had to
verify the radars were off. That only happened in port, but we had to
verify it anyway since they could be on for some reason.
I didn't like being near the arrays or whatever they're called.
It was always a 2-man job and I made sure to tell the other guy his
balls would be fried if a radarman flipped a switch.
That always made him work fast.

to pick up plutonium scattered on the deck from a hit on the ASROC,
and put it in a bucket to toss over the side. Of course I had heavy
rubber gloves to "protect" my hands. No lead blanket over my balls
though. Pure suicide job.
You'd think they'd provide a little shovel with a long handle, but
noooooo, rubber gloves. Effing idiots running that show probably
didn't put much thought into it.

I was amazed when I actually father children. We used to walk in front of
radars to get into the huts. The Zero's kept telling us that the beam
wasn't focused enough to fry our brains our our balls. The manufacturer's
tech rep for the radar's said he wouldn't be walking up and down the
stairs into the huts unless the radars weren't radiating.

Explains a lot..hee hee.
They were using you as a lab rat.

What's the first thing they told you in boot camp?

Your job is not to die for your country, but make the other guy die
for his. :)
Don't recall that from the Navy. In fact, on one DC team my job was
to pick up plutonium scattered on the deck from a hit on the ASROC,
and put it in a bucket to toss over the side. Of course I had heavy
rubber gloves to "protect" my hands. No lead blanket over my balls
though. Pure suicide job.

All 80 of us from 0-5's down to E-2's.

Do you know who I really liked in the Corps? The Gunners. A gold or
silver bar with red blocks on one collar and a flaming asshole on the
other collar point. Gunner Walsh, CWO-4, was my favorite. "If you ever
salute me with out a commissioned officer present I will personally kick
your ass from one side of the area to the other."

The radarmen on my ship used to hog all the sunbathing space on the SPS
30 platform. When we wanted to use the platform, all we had to do is
rotate it a couple of revs and the platform would be cleared of scope dopes.

I have a filter called Three Salted Nuts. I'm tempted to turn it back

Yeah, I think they are learning from each other! And JimH is doing his
share by telling lies and saying nasty untrue things about people's
families as usual.
