Pretty amazing technology. Almost worth having to listen to Wolf Blitzer
sputter on and on with all his "uhs".

They are holographicaly projecting reporters from around the country onto
the stage beside Wolf, so it appears he is standing beside them, talking.

Pretty cool.

What is crap is the reporting of results before all polls are closed.
Should not be able to report until the polls in Hawaii or Wake / Midway
close. The people do not need the info of whose ahead or behind while polls
are open.

Looks like the idiots might inherit the keys to the country. We'll see

The funny thing is the out of work union people in the rust belt are
going to be really ****ed when Obama doesn't bring back their low skill

Heh. First, welcome back.

Blitzer could see the image, in 3D. The technology they used was more than
a laser holographic image projector.
They also had some sophisticated synchronization of the detectors and
projectors.

This is a technology coming to your home in the not too distant future
(assuming you want it). Someday you will rent a movie and the images will
appear in your living room, in 3D and not projected onto any kind of screen
or displayed from a conventional HD monitor.

I don't recall him mentioning graduating from any college. He did say he

While the demographics never discussed boaters, I did find these statistics:

ACT scores by state
http://www.midwestsites.com/stellent...ed_000923.hcsp

SAT scores by state
http://www.midwestsites.com/stellent...ed_000924.hcsp

note, GA is ranked 46 out of 50, very sad, and is the reason, I sent my
kids to private school.

Graduation rate by state

http://www.manhattan-institute.org/html/cr_baeo_t2.htm

note, GA ranked at the bottom of the barrel.

If you note most of the states that voted for McCain were at the bottom
of the ladder.

Historically, the Democrats represented the poor, the repressed, the
uneducated, the immigrants. The Republicans represented those who were
successful, those who had pulled themselves up by the bootstraps and
felt that the American Dream was alive and well. Those who believed in
a conservative fiscal policy, one that encouraged and rewarded one's
effort. That has all changed.

After Reagan the Repubs went after the Dixiecrats and decided to ignore
all of their traditional beliefs. Goldwater, Eisenhower and Nixon are
all turning over in their grave looking at what has happened to the
Repub. party.

I'm not so sure. There has been a movement afoot to afford SS to
illegals who haven't paid into the system. That will surely be a take
away, Don't you think. Have you broken the news to your bride that,
by the time she retires, SS and Medicare will be only memories. Thank
God for Union pensions. Eh?

By the time my wife reaches the normal retirement ago of 65, I'm sure

Why are you so snarly and jealous about the fringe benefits of others,

I don't have a jealous bone in my body. When I notice you have a tender

Why would my wife's plans for her retirement two decades in the future
be a "tender or sore spot" for me? All you are doing is proving you are

How's that navy pension working for you?

The Navy's pension system is as strong as the US government. I forecast
that there won't be any unions in 20 years. Perhaps even 10 years. Union
pension funds will evaporate with the unions in spite of assurances that
the funds are in safe trusts. Want to see what the US will be like in 10
years? Look at Argentina. This is what your kind is leading us to.
Remove all incentive to take chances work hard and prosper. That's what
your kind is doing. "Spread the wealth" What a joke.

Some exit polling:

"Obama barely won among men (49% to 48%), but strongly among women (56%
to 43%), overwhelmingly among blacks (95% to 5%), and convincingly among
Latinos (66% to 31%) and Asians (62% to 35%). However, he lost among
whites (43% to 55%) as Democrats normally do. He did progressively worse
with age, winning the 18-29 year-olds 66% to 31% but losing seniors 52%
to 46%. He swept every educational category as well as Catholics and Jews
but lost Protestants 54% to 45%. He won people living in big cities,
small cities, and suburbs, but lost in small towns and rural areas. One
is tempted to say McCain won in traditional 19th century America (what
Sarah Palin would call "real America"): older white Protestant men living
in small towns. Obama won everywhere else. The Republican Party is going
to have to think long and hard if it wants to hitch its wagon to this
fading star while the Democrats are going after younger, multicultural,
urban voters."
