Thanks...I read through your URL and found it interesting, if amusing.
Nothing in it "unconvinced" me that the supplies and prices of oil
generally have anything to do with anything but speculation and
manipulation. Obviously, a severe storm in the Gulf of Mexico may have a
short-term impact on supply, but beyond those sorts of catastrophic
events, supply and prices are the result of a bunch of guys "fixing" the
race. If the price drops sharply, as it has recently, it is because "Big
Oil" and their buddies in Saudia Arabia have decided it should for any
number of reasons, sometimes even "political."

Oil pricing is a fraud. We just fall for it, that's all.

Well, he was blamed when the demand was high. He got the
demand lowered.
Seems like the silver lining, wouldn't you say?

If this financial criss was caused by President Bush why did
the market start to go down at the end of nancy pelosi 100
days when she said she was going to change the world but did
nothing. The congress has been warned for years that they
must do something about the mortgage mess that bill clinton
created when he demanded the industry provide loans to
deadbeats. polisi and the other old line democrats blocked
every attempt to review the regulations.

Now obama is spending nearly 1 BILLION DOLLARS to buy this
election to give us more of the old socialistic ideas that
historically have failed and made things worse. Has anyone
wonder who is contributing all of that money. I don't suppose
it is coming from the many terrorist groups that would love to
see America destroyed.

If Obama is elected, I hope it causes you so much angst you
burst a blood vessel. You deserve it.

Does the country as a whole deserve it? Do succeeding
generations deserve the damage caused by an Obama, Pelosi, Reid,
Ginsburg run government?

Of course not. But the whole country isn't making up nonsense
about Obama and socialism, or saying the sort of off the wall
ugly stuff Palin and McCain and some of their supporters are
uttering.

Obama is a socialist if not a communist if not a Marxist.

No wonder you like Sarah Palin...you're both empty-headed.

Why are you afraid to admit that you are a socialist too?

You really are a moron...no wonder you skipped college...you wouldn't
have been able to hack it, even back then in Montgomery County
Community College.

I didn't live in Maryland back then. You need to update your dossier.

Whatever...you're the idiot savant of civics and politics, without the
savant part.

Admit it Harry you are a socialist with strong communist leanings. You
want everyone to live under this form of government except for yourself.
You believe that the CEO and the janitor should be payed the same.
However, you believe that union bosses should be paid more than the
union members? Why are union bosses more valuable than CEOs?

Sorry to disappoint you, Bertie, but I'm just a plain old mainstream
Democrat. Like most Democrats and independents, I do believe easy access
to health care is a *right* of every American. If that makes me a
"socialist" in your eyes, well, I don't really give a schitt.

The rest of your nonsense is not worth a comment.

Everyone already has easy access to health care. Just walk in to any

right. Just like food is not a right.

The fact that you want to force me to pay for the health care schemes

barrel prices drop as fast as they increase when barrel prices rise?

Here's some data that you may find interesting.

http://www.newyorkgasprices.com/retail_price_chart.aspx

Set the chart options to show crude oil prices and any area of the country
you desire for retail gas price. Set the chart duration to 3 months. You
will note that the *retail* cost of gas did *not* peak in response to the
spike in crude prices. Therefore it seems like the cost of gas has not
dropped as fast as crude prices.

Make sense?

Very interesting. I've followed the *peak oil* scenario for some time.
This is the first I've read of the Saudi's 100 and 200 year reserves
prediction.

As pointed out in the article I surely hope we don't become complacent. This
should be a wakeup call, we must pursue alternatives to oil with the vigor
of the Manhattan Project.

Yeah. I heard him being interviewed on the radio, so looked him up and read
some of his rantings.

He's not just a ET believer though, although he claims to have regular
communications with "them".
He has some really wild predictions of the new world order resulting in an
imminent nuclear war starting in Israel, and finished by an all out exchange
between the US and Russia. Noteworthy is that many of his predictions of
events leading up to this are happening as we type, including some of the
provocative recent moves by Russia. He claims all this is about to start.

His advice is to move south of the equator because the entire northern
hemisphere is going to be wiped out.

There's other stuff too .... related to the wall street meltdown, the dollar
becoming valueless, congress full of those "in the know", etc. You know ...
Larry stuff.

He used to be a wall street investment banker.

Don't think I take this stuff seriously. I don't. Besides, if he is
correct, what's the use in being concerned?

One thing I forgot to point out is that the prices for oil you hear quoted
in the news every day are for futures contracts. And that price is for a
contract to be delivered in the following month.

When we saw those $145/barrel prices, that was for futures contracts and I'd
bet no product actually changed hands at that price. That's where the
speculators lose money.
