It's too much for McCain...he wants to cancel Friday night's debate...

He's going to get clobbered in any discussion that wanders over to our

Maybe he just won't show Friday night (if Obama doesn't agree), and
perhaps Obama will debate an empty chair.

Nice spin, but far from accurate.

McCain, in a brilliant move, announced at 2:55pm that he was suspending
his campaign in order to return to Washington to participate in the
resolution of the current economic crisis. He has also requested Bush to
put together a bi-partisan leadership committee to further a solution.

The reason, according to Bush, is because the rest of Congress is
getting tangled footed and time is running out.

He said it was time to put partisan politics aside and asked Obama to
join him in Washington, including delaying Friday night's debate if the
problem was not resolved.

Please note: He specifically said, "Delay Friday night's debate, if
necessary. Not cancel.

Clearly coldcocked Obama who started claiming it was all his idea, at
first, then seemed to change his mind as he spoke, claiming he still
wants to debate.

At least McCain understands he still has a job to do. Obama has
abandoned his post.

Are you really that easily led? No wonder this country is in so much
trouble.

McCain hasn't been "at his job" since last April. Further, he's not a
principal on any of the congressional committees that have anything to
do with the deal being worked out. I don't believe Obama is, either.
Therefore, other than for posturing purposes, there is no reason for
either to be breathing down the necks of the deal negotiators.
