Ms. Palin is the most uniquely unqualified person to be vice president
of the United States in my memory, with the possible exception of Spiro
Agnew. I remember veeps going all the back to Nixon in Eisenhower's
first term. Even Dick Cheney, who I think is a criminal, is at least
qualified by intellect and experience to step in at a moment's notice
and do the job as president.

Palin has neither intellect nor experience. She's a right-wing extremist
cipher. God help us if McCain is elected and dies suddenly. She's less
capable than Bush, if that is even imaginable.

But, hey...she believes in Jesus and is anti-abortion. What else matters?

Of course, next week it'll probably be revealed that she flip-flopped on
Jesus and had three abortions.
