Viewable in direct sun. The LCD's are good in the sun the CRT's are not. I
do have trouble seeing it when wearing good polarized glasses. I do like my
FCV600L.

As a rule of thumb, Furuno makes good sounders, the 600 is one of them, you
will not be diaspointed.
