I don't know what his problem is. He certainly doesn't know me personally. I think those that do would agree I am not what he tries to project an image of and for that I am most satisfied and comfortable. Sometimes people paint an image in their minds of others based on assumptions or other personal influences. I happened to get lucky... I worked hard, but I loved it. When you enjoy what you do, you really don't notice how difficult or strenuous a job or career can be. Until you stop. Then, you look back and say, "Whew!" Also have been happily married to a wonderful, devoted and interesting wife for 39 years. For our generation that's a bit of an oddity. She, in her unique way keeps life interesting, keeps me young, and hopefully, I reciprocate in kind. We raised three kids who are responsible, self sufficient and are now also happily married and raising their own families. What else could anyone ask for? We've given away in gifts or charity about half of what my career rewarded me with. I think I am entitled to enjoy a few toys and I only talk about them here because I suspect there are others who, like me, would get a kick out of them. Doesn't matter. He has to be comfortable with himself, as do all of us. Eisboch |

It must be a shame to feel like such a failure after retirement that you must try to torment those that have done well. |

You are right, and this will be the last of my posts on this subject unless needlessly provoked again. The problem is that misguided, mean spirited accusations, left unanswered, take on a life of their own in certain circles in a slanderous way. The choice is either to occasionally present another POV or simply not participate at all. BTW ... nothing wrong with getting a little muddy on the track. Eisboch |
